    ‘Women Who Act with Patricia Rozema’ special feature interviews with Ellen Page & More – HBO Canada

    TORONTO– HBO Canada marks Canadian Screen Week with Women Who Act with Patricia Rozema, a new documentary that celebrates Canadian film and television talent. Written and directed by Barry Avrich (The Last Mogul), the special is hosted by celebrated Canadian filmmaker Patricia Rozema (Mansfield Park) as she sits down with four iconic Canadian film and television actresses to talk candidly about their craft. The 72-minute special premieres Saturday, Feb. 28 at 9 p.m. ET/MT on HBO Canada, just one day before the 2015 Canadian Screen Awards broadcast.

    The documentary features intimate interviews with Emmy®-winner, Canadian Screen Award-nominee and 2015 Canadian Screen host Andrea Martin (My Big Fat Greek Wedding); Golden Globe® and Academy Award® nominee Ellen Page (Juno); Critics’ Choice Award and Canadian Screen Award-winner and Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award-nominee Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black); and Golden Globe-winner and Emmy-nominee Sandra Oh (Grey’s Anatomy).

    As part of Canadian Screen Week, on Friday, Feb. 27 The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, together with The Movie Network and Movie Central, presents the world premiere screening of Women Who Act with Patricia Rozema at TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto. For more information, click here. Host Patricia Rozema and director Barry Avrich will introduce the film.

    In Eastern Canada, the special will be available on TMN GO and HBO Canada OnDemand. In Western Canada, it will be available on the go with Shaw Go Movie Central app, Bell TV app, Telus Optik on the go, and HBO Canada On Demand.

    The second wave of nominees for the annual award show were announced today. You can now vote for Ellen Page everyday for ‘Best Scene Stealer‘ for her performance as Kitty Pryde in her latest film; X-Men: Days of Future Past (In Cinemas).

    UK: Horror Channel to screen “Hard Candy” on ‘Xtreme Teens’ season

    Horror Channel plans to screen a selection of provocative revenge and hormonal horror movies in its ‘Xtreme Teens’ season, it will be playing on Saturdays at 22:50 from 5th July and end on 26th July with the Network TV premiere of David Slade’s award-winning, controversial vigilante thriller Hard Candy. The other titles are: All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, The Loved Ones and Ginger Snaps.

    Horror Channel is on Sky 319 / Virgin 149 / Freesat 138 (United Kingdom)

    Sat 26 July @ 22:50 – HARD CANDY (2005) * Network TV Premiere
    David Slade’s provocative and topical thriller stars Hayley (Ellen Page) as a 14-year-old teen who meets a thirty-something photographer Jeff (Patrick Wilson) on an internet chat line. After meeting in a coffeehouse, Jeff invites Haley back to his place, and it’s not long before Jeff’s underage guest is pouring drinks and posing provocatively for an impromptu photo shoot. As the evening’s activities take a decidedly sordid slant and Jeff appears poised to strike, a sudden turn of events reveals that Hayley has had a plan of her own from the very beginning.
